Civil Partnership – Itinerary

A bit more detail about 1 July

We have chosen quite a small group for the legal ceremony of our Civil Partnership.

Nick and Stephen; our parents (Cathie & Tony, Enid & Barrie); our best people (Tim & Jon, Ally & Nicky); our brothers and their families (Tim, Kat, Belle, Louis; Jon, Catherine, Mabel, Dylan; Mark, Adele, Megan); Nick’s Grandad (Ron) and Uncle (Nick); and friends Edward & Claire , Claire & Donna, and Ally & Graeme.

12noonArrivals at Lambeth Town Hall please aim to arrive around 12.15pm.
We are having the ceremony in the Circular Hall, which is below the clock tower at the very front of the building.
12.30pmCivil Partnership
followed by a glass of fizz and a few photos
2pmWalk to the Trinity Arms – about 10 minute walk from Lambeth Town Hall
We have booked the upstairs of the Trinity Arms for lunch together.
Everyone can choose from the usual pub menu, and it is a chance to relax and celebrate together.
Stephen will probably have the Trinity Burger. Nick will have the smoked pork rump, without the egg.
There will be a toast from either side of our families, and a few words from us.
4-6pmSome ‘down time’, when people can relax a little bit. You’re very welcome to head back to your accommodation.
You are also welcome at our flat to help yourselves to tea and coffee and have a sit down for a couple of hours.
Some of us will head to the evening venue around 5pm to make sure everything’s ready for the continued celebrations.
6pmPeople begin arriving at Friendship Adventure with the first drink on us.
8pmNick & Stephen will say a few words… followed by a slice or two of pizza for everyone.
People are welcome to order in food if they want it. We will offer some suggestions.
MidnightThe party ends!

It is going to be a long day. After 4pm, please don’t feel you have to stay for the entire evening. Come and go as you please. Obviously, it would be lovely if you are around at 8pm when we say a few words, but please don’t feel you need to be in the venue from 6pm-midnight!

The next day, we’re going to be around in a pub nearby, the Prince Regent, when people can come and go as they please, with no expectation from anyone (yourselves included) to come and say hi. It’s a chance for those who have come from far away to say hello.
